1. Crono
If you are someone who spends a considerable amount of time glued to Chrome, then Crono is the app for you. This tool cleverly replicates your phone notifications to your browser, meaning that you do not have to open your phone time and again to check the notifications. This app works in conjunction with a Chrome extension. All you have to do is scan a QR code with your phone, give the necessary permissions, and the notifications will be synced to your PC. Whenever you receive a new one, you’ll see the number go up in the status bar of your browser. What’s great about this app is that you can select the apps from which you’ll receive notifications. After all, no one should be bothered by a notification from a shopping app, right? And that’s not the end of the story. 2. Gallery Go
Google’s tryst with Lite and offline apps have taken off yet again, and one of the latest apps to join the trend is Gallery Go. Gallery Go is a photo gallery app for local media, and as you may have suspected, it’s a light and compact version of Google Photos. It works offline, and photos and other media items do not sync or back up to any Google account. Unlike Google Photos, it doesn’t have a cluttered interface. Rather, everything is neatly arranged. There are two tabs at the bottom for pictures and folders. So, yeah, you do not have to go all over to the left-hand menu and browse through device folder just to locate them. 3. Glitch Lab
To be honest, the Google Play Store has more than its share of image editing apps with glitch effects. So what makes Glitch Lab different from its counterparts? For one, this app is incredibly smooth. And secondly, there are a ton of effects to play with and trust me I am not kidding. You can select the type of distortion as well as the portion of the image where you’d like the effect to come into play. Then there are other factors like angle, regularity, intensity, among others. 4. Kwench
When it comes to drinking water, everyone has something or the other to say. While some recommend that we need to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day, others say that we should sip water continuously. Whatever be the way, one rule is clear – we should drink water constantly. However, all this guidance goes for a toss if you do not even remember to act on the advice in the first place. That’s when apps like Kwench come into the picture. It’s a simple app which calculates your body’s water intake based on your gender, height and weight, and once done reminds you constantly to complete your water drinking goals. Simple. The app is easy to set up and use. It’ll remind you periodically and you just need to tap on the Drink Water button to update the stats. 5. Face Pause
Imagine the videos on YouTube pausing as soon as you turn your face away from your phone? I know, it sounds too good to be true. But why not try the Face Pause app before you make a decision? This app uses the front camera of your phone to determine if you have turned your face away, and when you do, it pauses the content on your screen. 6. Ceri Launcher
Are you bored with all the popular launchers? If yes, you should give the Ceri launcher a shot. Unlike most launchers that go for a simple home screen, Ceri comes with distinctive Honeycomb layout. Sounds cool, right? You can either select to have your frequently accessed apps in the mix or to show all your apps. To search for apps, simply browse through the list until you find the one you need. Or, if you think the simple act of searching for apps is eating your time, just pull down the top to reveal the Search tab. And let me tell you the search is fast and quick. 7. WolPepper
If you are in the search for a new wallpaper app, you should give the WolPepper app a shot. This one sources high-quality images from UnSplash, and the best thing about it is that the resolutions are enormous, so you do not have to worry about images pixelating. Similar to most wallpaper apps, you will find the image categorization at the bottom. All you need to do is tap on the Collections tab, or go over to the Categories tab. Download WolPepper
8. Checketry
Checketry is an unique app that lets you track the downloads on your PC from your phone. Yep, you read that right. Quite obviously, it needs a desktop app and a mobile app to work, and once done you can track and manage all your downloads easily. What’s more, Checketry lets you connect other apps such as Steam, BitTorrent, and browsers such as Chrome and Firefox. 9. Ruff
Remember those days when you would scribble any sort of notes on your little diary, without worrying about the format, grammar, or how it sounded? Well, Ruff attempts to rekindle this habit through its writing app. It’s a no-frills app which gives the vibe of a clean notebook minus any distractions. All you need to do is write your heart out, and when you are done, simply swipe right to save your progress. It comes with a dark theme, lest the white theme is too bright for you.
